Black Presents “Miles from Bedlam: The Psychiatric Facility in the 21st Century.”

Jaques Black, Partner, recently presented “Miles from Bedlam: The Psychiatric Facility in the 21st Century ” at the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo Conference in Chicago. The presentation focused on the special concerns and design decisions leading to the creation of non-threatening physical environments for clients and patients with special behavioral health care needs. From the effect of color, and furniture selections to acoustical issues and the effects of natural light and air on patient outcomes, he will address the special concerns and design issues related to the creation of non-threatening environments that lead to patient safety and better clinical outcomes.
